BioOkay.... here's the vital stats on me:
I'm 23 and I live in Jersey (that's the Channel Island closest to France). I tried university but my course and I didn't really get on, so I left, did some Open University courses and had a few temp jobs (good money, but lots of filing). Then I got a civil service job (better money, no filing!), of the full-time variety.
When I'm not working, my time is filled with:
1) TV. A small sample of the shows I watch: Doctor Who, Torchwood, Lost, Heroes, House, Leverage, Firefly.... (it goes on. Trust me on that.)
2) Movies. Biiiiig movie fan over here.
3) Writing. Mostly fanfic at the moment, various fandoms.
4) The Internet/LJ/RPGs (obviously....)
5) Watching as many Classic Doctor Who DVDs as I can get my hands on. (I personally own about 25 separate serials, as of now. Mostly Four and Five, and no Six, because he is scary.
6) Reading. Just about anything, really. Normal books and comics/graphic novels, too.
Random stuff:
My favourite comic book writers are: Alan Moore, Neil Gaiman, Frank Miller, Will Eisner, Mark Millar.
My absolute, all-time favourite comic is Watchmen. Yes, I am hugely excited about the movie.
I think Firefly is (wait, sorry, was) one of the best TV shows ever. I have ridiculous amounts of respect for Joss Whedon.
Also, if I ever find out which Fox executive cancelled Firefly, that person is going to be very, very sorry when I find them. (Though, really, I'm starting to think the whole company is suspect...)
I am also an obsessive Who fan, a crazy Hitchhiker's Guide fan (see username for proof), a devoted Heroes fan, and a lover of the...less well known comics. Like The Authority, which is possibly one of the best comics ever, and that's just because of Midnighter.
Final note: It is a bad idea to mention the movie Constantine around me. I read Hellblazer comics, and That Movie does not make me happy. I can (possibly literally) rant for hours on exactly why not.
